Richard Sullivan has a problem. His average American family is on the edge of ruin and they don’t even realize it. The Sullivans are struggling through everyday life with a dark power over them so strong that they cannot find their way — a power that is filling their minds with voices of greed, hate, pride and temptation. And now the very fabric of their lives is unraveling before their eyes. If only they would listen a little harder to the other voice trying to get through to them — the voice of hope, forgiveness and love — before it’s too late.
“As I read the last chapter of On The Edge, I found my heart so full of the Holy Spirit that I thought I would explode. When I closed the book for the last time, I realized that I was crying….I cannot tell you how this book has changed my life and my husband’s.”

398 pages, Thomas Nelson Publishing/Edge Press
I read On the Edge and The President. I have Enemy in the Room, but am waiting until I have time to read it because I find once I start one of your books, I do not want to put it down. God speaks through your writing. Do you plan on writing another novel?
Debra, thank you for your very encouraging words. It’s amazing how He can use a very imperfect real estate guy to tell stories from his own experience and imagination that then touch so many others. Only He can do that. I continue to work on the fourth novel, to tie the threads from the other three together. But world events have shifted a lot in the last two years, causing some changes in the story line. More to follow, I hope. Please pray for this work. Thank you again. All the best.
Does this book come in a audio format?
Not yet. Hopefully later this year. All the best.
I love This Present Darkness!! I have read it at least 5 times, whenever i feel the need. It is a real pick- me- up. I look forward to On The Edge.
As I read the last chapter of On The Edge, I found my heart so full of the Holy Spirit that I thought I would explode. When I closed the book for the last time, I realized that I was crying….I cannot tell you how this book has changed my life and my husband’s.
I finished your book On The Edge a few months ago and reflect on its content often. I can honestly say that no novel has ever had as much real and emotional effect on me. I find myself praying more….The final few pages put me in the presence of God…I finished those pages overcome with emotion and sobbing with joy.
“I was drawn in from the first page and literally was mesmerized by the gut wrenching story of spiritual warfare and family destruction that was set forth in Book One, then was liberated and thoroughly convicted by the counterpoint of victorious life so thoroughly painted in Book Two. I truly feel that your book is a must read for businessmen, parents and children.”
“If Parker was trying to convict me about praying, he succeeded! His book is powerful and one of the most moving I have read in al long time.”
“My wife, my elder daughter and I have just read your book and I wanted to write to share with you the exciting impact it has had on our lives…It provided a great read that will leave long term, vivid impressions about how spiritual warfare is such an insidious battle….Much more significant is the impact on our 14 year old daughter….the Holy Spirit worked in her heart through the book. She said it has forever changed her life, her way of thinking, and for that I owe you eternal gratitude.”
