Truth wrapped in fiction has the power to engage the reader’s mind, heart, and spirit. So it has the power to transform.
Order of Books
1) On The Edge 2) The President 3) Enemy In The Room 4) Nation On The Edge
While each novel has its own stand-alone story threads, and they can be read in any order, several key characters do repeat across all four books.
In Nation On The Edge, most of the characters from On The Edge repeat, only they are twenty-five years older.
Parker Hudson’s Book Reviews
Parker Hudson
I guess I’m a bit of an anomaly:
• A conservative Southerner who believes strongly in our nation’s unique founding ideals of individual, God-given freedoms,
• A civil rights activist who battled the segregationist Democratic Party in the Georgia Challenge Delegation in Chicago,
• A Naval officer who loved steering a guided missile cruiser around the Mediterranean,
• A commercial real estate entrepreneur and teacher for five decades in the U.S. and Russia,
• A Deplorable clinging to my guns and Bible, with a Master’s Degree from The London School of Economics as a Marshall Scholar,
A husband, father of five, grandfather, pilot, scuba-diver, author, and, most importantly,
• A sinner saved by grace alone.
So that’s the melting pot from which has emerged four novels about personal transformation, and many essays focused on Faith, Economics, and Policy.
I hope you will engage, and that we will seek Truth together.

I’ve been posting since 2010; I hope that you will sample some of the threads, and pass them to others. And please also subscribe, using the red button in the right column on any blog page, to receive posts and newsletters in the future.
2025
As we prepare to turn the calendar to 2025, and as I prepare to turn 78, I have written down a group of Hopes/Prayers for the coming year, and also a group of Personal Resolutions. You know I’m a follower of Jesus, who transformed me forty years ago, and that we live...
Giving Thanks
This short monthly post is meant to be a postscript to a longer essay I wrote nine years ago, which focuses on two “big picture” aspects of Thanksgiving. I just re-read it, and I don’t think I’d change a word. Please take a minute to read the earlier post, Why...
The Common Sense Vote
It’s twelve days before the 2024 Presidential election, so as I write this monthly post I have no idea who the winner will be. But if Donald Trump is elected, itwill be mostly because he has a huge, loyal following, but in part because many Democratic policies of the...
